These white and blue Jerusalem candles are formed as a bundle of 33 thin candles, where the number 33 symbolizes the years of the earthly life of Jesus Christ. Each set is carefully handcrafted from the highest quality natural materials by our small Christian community in the Holy Land, within the sacred city of Jerusalem, where prayer and craftsmanship come together in reverence and devotion.
Church of the Holy Sepulchre
These candles are deeply connected to the tradition of the Holy Fire, which, according to Orthodox faith, descends each year in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre during the Great Saturday service, on the eve of Pascha. Pilgrims from all over the world come to Jerusalem to receive this sacred fire and carry it back to their homes as a living testimony of faith and renewal.
As it is written: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me will live, even though they die.” - John 11:25.
Each bundle of candles is prayerfully prepared and blessed in the Holy Sepulchre—placed upon the Stone of Anointing and brought into contact with the sacred fire near the Holy Tomb. Through this, the candles become a symbol of purity, protection, and divine grace, cherished by believers as a reminder of God’s presence and care.
